Biography:
Kildare native Lisa, began her singing and songwriting career with Dublin based alt folk band, The Mariannes. In 2014, she was singled out for top honours in the inaugural Clancy Brother's Songwriting Competition for the track, Lost with All Hands. Since then, she has gone from strength to strength penning a number of tracks both for and outside of the group. One such track includes The Black Diary Waltz, which was released by The Mariannes in April 2016. The track was featured in an RTE Radio 1 documentary about the life of Roger Casement and also featured in numerous exhibitions celebrating the 1916 Rising.
Lisa is set to release her debut EP in June of 2018. The sound of this material is grounded in folk, country and traditional genres. She released her debut single entitled, Coming Up, in June 2017 to positive reviews both at home and abroad and enjoyed a stint at number one in the iTunes single download charts. In 2018, she was shortlisted for a Pure M best solo artist award, was selected as one of the headline acts for the Whelan's trad and folk festival and has shared stages with some of Ireland's most well known acts including I Draw Slow, John Spillane, Niall Toner and The 4 of Us.
